Order Entry Specialist

Location: Poway, CA

Pay Rate: $20-$24/hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Order Entry Specialist to join our client's team in Poway, CA. This role is responsible for high-volume order processing, providing excellent customer service, and supporting reporting on company operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong communication skills, and is committed to accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately enter a high volume of customer orders into internal systems in a timely manner
• Review orders for completeness, pricing accuracy, and product availability
• Communicate with customers via phone and email to confirm details, resolve discrepancies, and provide updates
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, logistics) to ensure smooth order fulfillment
• Maintain organized records of orders and customer interactions
• Generate and assist with reports on order trends, operational performance, and customer activity
• Identify and escalate issues impacting order processing or customer satisfaction
• Support continuous improvement of order entry processes and workflows

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience (order entry or administrative support preferred)
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and/or order management systems
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
